Defining "child porn"
Never mind that "porn" at large has never been defined precisely. Consider this:
[illustration of a person in a sexual situation]
Joe Blow, 17 | Joe Blow, 19
The left caption causes the image to become child porn, the right does not. The same applies to hand-drawn characters, such as the "Gunsmith Cats" comics. Wikipedia lists the age of the younger character (who is shown masturbating at least once) as 17. Various translations list it as low as 14 and as high as 19. In other words, the entire comic strip can be considered "child porn"...or not, depending on one arbitrarily picked number. Since the degree of realism isn't defined, either, we could have South Park or even more abstract animations classified as porn if deemed thus by authorities. They certainly have enough sexual content involving cartoon "minors". Does this make sense to anyone?
Not that most other laws make any more sense than this. The end result is obedience to laws out of fear and not out of respect for their reasonable nature...and the ability to crack down on anyone because every person breaks many laws daily unknowingly.

Aimpoint clone
Since I can't afford Aimpoints for all of my rifles, I've been using clones on the .22 trainer variants of the AR and SU rifles. The latest version has battery life of about 3,000 hours at brightness level 7, good enough for my use. Performance seems similar to H1 micro, except for somewhat less water-resistance. The brightness dial can go from 0 to the brightest setting, unlike H1 which only rotates in one direction. Primary Arms also sells real Aimpoints and recommends them for fighting guns.

Chomsky
Looking over Chomsky's writings, I find quite a few points of agreement and some of disagreement. He seems very poorly regarded by most of my acquaintanes. Why?
