Couldn’t be, Annie Oakley used a Winchester. This one is a Henry.

The original quad rail for Sub2000 had a bit of flex in it. While sights installed on it seemed to keep zero, it didn’t inspire confidence. Keltec updated the rail and the new version is rock-solid. I tried a 45* offset rail to locate the optic on the left, to allow folding with the sight installed, but that amount of offset didn’t make for a good sight picture. With EOTech XPS3, the red dot in a circle can float just above the front sight and still provide accurate zero. I am considering removing the top half of the front sight hood to provide a better sight picture. While the sight keeps the carbine from being folded completely, it can be folded 2/3 of the way. It still fits in a briefcase or a messenger bag and unfolds with one hand as the latch is no longer engaged. This carbine uses magazines compatible with Keltec P11 and some S&W pistols. Other models are compatible with Beretta, Sig or Glock. I have a couple of 33rd magazines on order for the other Sub2000 to supplement the Glock 17-rounders. The rains in muzzle velocity are modest (100-200fps) but the gains in precision, the reduction of muzzle flash and report make carbines more desirable than pistols in longer-range events such as riots.
The main advantage of the EOTech in this application is the wide field of view. A cross eye dominant shooter (such as the woman shown) can put her weak eye behind the sight, look at the target with her dominant eye and still have the correct sight picture. Iron sights, visible in the lower third of the holographic window, are available as backup. The laser provides an alternate aiming method, especially useful when firing on the move. The light can be set to strobe: it works fine for the shooter due to persistence of vision but blinds the opposition whose eyes can’t get used to the sudden changes in the light level.

PLR16 is a .223 pistol designed for short and medium range hunting and self-defense. For reactive shooting, it’s typically stabilized by pushing out against the sling. For longer range, use a bipod or some improvised support. 9.2″ barrel provides muzzle velocity of 2600fps, so controlled expansion ammunition would be ideal for defense.
As shown: Midwest Industries forend, Magpul AFG, Battlecomp brake to reduce muzzle climb, Primary Arms micro green reflex sight, Viridian X5L light/laser. Eventually, I’d like to get a tax stamp and add a short folding stock. Then it would be relatively quiet and still balance well.

Gun Tote’n Mamas make holster purses. The advantage of off-body carry is the ability to conceal larger guns.

Tirzah came to Nashville to do make-up for the zombie shoot and stayed to model. Much as I like the zombies, I think she steals the show from the pistol.

I guess I am just a fan of guns marketed towards women. This STI Elektra came with rather gaudy pink pearlite grips…which lasted until Kevin Manley of KD Holsters made thin, classy burlwood replacements.
The rest of that pistol was perfect. Tirzah is 5’2″ and has tiny hands — Eletra fits her just fine. And we can actually afford to plink with 9mm. The frame is all steel, so the recoil is very moderate. Accuracy has been excellent.
Carrying it was pretty comfortable as well. For a short person, the length of the trip is a consideration — too long of a grip would have poked her in the ribs.
The holster was also made by Kevin. It can be used inside waistband or on the belt — in this case, the thin belt required IWB use.

Marlin XT22 with Trijicon 1-4x scope. Neat rifle with great trigger. I also really like the clarity of the scope.

Very well done film about a man who is…various shades of good, evil and mundane. The film works out much better than the sum of its parts would suggest, and the ending is very, very well handled. I recommend it.
Acting:8 (improves as the film progresses)
Plot:9
Lighting:7
Music:7
Camera work:7 (long, slow medium shots prevail)

I very much recommend it — amazing visuals and attention to details. Be sure to switch to high resolution before watching.

Clarification, a hunting shotgun for dangerous game. A wild boar might kill you, but only zombies can turn you undead with one bite.
As an additional plus, the gun can be carried easily with one hand. The other arm would come in handy for putting around the romantic interest as you ride off into the sunrise after making your neighborhood safe from the zombies. Being a pump, KSG can also handle less lethal riot control munitions…just in case you’d rather steer the zombie hordes towards the government offices than kill them.
