Looks like the compact camera search is over.

The winner is Panasonic GM5 with 20/1.7 lens, carried in CCW Breakaways pants. The main challenge now is to find a reasonably priced used GM5 body that’s not bundled with a zoom lens. Any pointers?
Somewhere in modern Hobbiton…

Bilbo saw that the moment had come when he must do something. He could not get up at the brutes and he had nothing to shoot with; but looking about he saw that in this place there were many stones lying in what appeared to be a now dry little watercourse. Bilbo was a pretty fair shot with a stone, and it did not take him long to find a nice smooth egg-shaped one that fitted his hand cosily.
As a boy he used to practise throwing stones at things, until rabbits and squirrels, and even birds, got out of his way as quick as lightning if they saw him stoop; and even grownup he had still spent a deal of his time at quoits, dart-throwing, shooting at the wand, bowls, ninepins and other quiet games of the aiming and throwing sort-indeed he could do lots of things, besides blowing smoke-rings, asking riddles and cooking,
that I havent had time to tell you about. There is no time now. While he was picking up stones, the spider had reached Bombur, and soon he would have been dead. At that moment Bilbo threw. The stone struck the spider plunk on the head, and it dropped senseless off the tree, flop to the ground, with all its legs curled up.
Just as Roman slingers graduated from stones to ceramic and lead bullets, so would mostly likely have modern hobbits. 20ga is about the right bore for most halflings, though some of the more stout specimens rock a 12 bore.
This is why Hollywood doesn’t feature armed kids in movies.

I have a couple of fairly simple questions about Adobe InDesign document set-up. Is anyone of my readers willing and able to assist?

Earlier today, at the range…we found that Keltec RDB muzzle doesn’t bounce much at all when the rifle fires. Slow-motion video to follow.

3D (stereo) TV monitors?
Originally published at VolkStudio Blog. You can comment here or there.
I am trying to find a currently produced TV monitor that would support 3D content…but can’t find anything listed. Suggestions?
Also, is there any currently made 3D camera, or Fuji Real 3D W3 is it?

The new compact camera is working out well

Panasonic GM5 image quality is a good step above cell phone photos. The user interface is decent, the viewfinder is usable — certainly better than the horrible pop-up finder of the Sony RX100. Very high frame rate was an unexpected bonus. It’s not as flat as I’d have liked it, and the bundled 12-32mm lens is slow…I am considering a 20/1.7 just to get away from grainy high ISO. But it was in my pocket today, while the bigger cameras were not.
Down time

Just like Bella, I needed the down time this Sunday to kick back and relax. Now, on to the non-stop work for the next two weeks or so. Much catch-up to do.

Even with the 0-1-2 trigger group, the run moves more to the right than open bolt M3 Grease Gun. Closed bolt is better for semi-auto, but seems to be a waste for automatic.
