After spending a weekend with black rifles and suffering from the sun-heated metal, I am becoming a great fan of lighter weapon finishes. The camouflage effect of tan/khaki/earth tones is also welcome.

Which materials are opaque to backscatter radars, such as the devices used at the airports? Given the relative Puritanism of Americans in general and the contrary spirit of many of the rest, how soon can we expect clothing companies to offer "air travel safe" clothing for sale?

Looking at photos of Airsoft/strikeball matches, I wonder about the best ways to learn about camouflage, tracking, orienteering and small group tactics in the US civilian context. Suggestions? Reaching Plaster's book just gave me a hint of how much I don't know.
